Her career progressed rapidly from children's play roles and her first appearance on stage in front of thousands. Swift began writing music in the teen years. She sang The Star-Spangled Banner for a Philadelphia 76ers basketball game. She drew inspiration from the country music artists such as Shania Twain and the Dixie Chicks (now the Chicks) Swift crafted original songs that were a reflection of her own experiences of growing up in a world that was dominated by tweens. Swift's family moved into Tennessee from Pennsylvania when she was 13so she could be able to spend longer pursuing country music labels in Nashville.
